How do you schedule four people instead of two?

Accept that it is harder and give it more time. A doubles ladder needs a longer play window than a singles ladder because four calendars have to intersect, and a court booking for four is usually longer. If your group is small, run singles and doubles side by side rather than choosing: the same people will play in both, and the singles ladder carries the weeks when doubles cannot be assembled.
